The Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 38 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000( 1 ), makes the following Order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Exemption) (Amendment) Order 2011 and comes into force on 26th July 2011.

2. In paragraph 48(2) of Part 4 of the Schedule to the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Exemption) Order 2001( 2 ), at the end insert—

(g) a housing association within the meaning of Part 2 of the Housing (Northern Ireland) Order 1992 ( 3 ) . .
