The Horserace Betting and Olympic Lottery Act 2004 (Appointed Day) Order 2011

The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the power conferred by section 1(2) of the Horserace Betting and Olympic Lottery Act 2004( 1 ). In accordance with section 3(6)(b) of that Act the Secretary of State is satisfied that sufficient notice has been given to ensure compliance with any applicable requirement of the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006( 2 ). In accordance with section 3(9) of that Act the Secretary of State has consulted the Horserace Totalisator Board and the successor company before making this Order.

Citation

1. This Order may be cited as The Horserace Betting and Olympic Lottery Act 2004 (Appointed Day) Order 2011.

Appointed Day

2. 13th July 2011 is the appointed day for the purposes of section 1 of the Horserace Betting and Olympic Lottery Act 2004.
