The Terrorism Act 2000 (Designated Ports) Order 2011

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the power conferred on her by paragraph 12(5) of Schedule 7 to the Terrorism Act 2000( 1 ), makes the following Order.

Citation and commencement

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Terrorism Act 2000 (Designated Ports) Order 2011.

(2) This Order comes into force on 1st September 2011.

Amendments to the Terrorism Act 2000

2. —(1) The Terrorism Act 2000 is amended as follows.

(2) In Schedule 7 (port and border controls), in the table (designated ports: Great Britain), under the heading “Seaports”–

(a) after the entry for “Holyhead” insert “Loch Ryan”;

(b) omit the entry for “Stranraer”.
