This Order is made in exercise of the powers conferred by section 13(2)(c) of the Prevention of Terrorism Act 2005( 1 ).
The Secretary of State has consulted the person appointed for the purposes of section 14(2) of that Act, the Intelligence Services Commissioner and the Director-General of the Security Service about the making of this Order.
In accordance with section 13(4) of that Act, a draft of this Order was laid before Parliament and approved by resolution of each House of Parliament.
Accordingly, the Secretary of State makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1. This Order may be cited as the Prevention of Terrorism Act 2005 (Continuance in Force of Sections 1 to 9) Order 2011 and shall come into force on 11th March 2011.
Continuance in force of sections 1 to 9 of the Prevention of Terrorism Act 2005
2. Sections 1 to 9 of the Prevention of Terrorism Act 2005 shall not expire in accordance with article 2 of the Prevention of Terrorism Act 2005 (Continuance in Force of Sections 1 to 9) Order 2010( 2 ) but shall continue in force for a period ending on 31st December 2011.
