The Children Act 2004 Information Database (England) (Revocation) Regulations 2012

Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1

The Secretary of State for Education makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 12(4)(f) and (h), (5), (6), (7)(f), (8)(e), (10) and (11) and 66(1)(c) of the Children Act 2004( 1 );

In accordance with section 66(3) of that Act a draft of this instrument was laid before Parliament and approved by resolution of each House of Parliament.

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Children Act 2004 Information Database (England) (Revocation) Regulations 2012 and come into force on the day after the day on which they are made.

Revocations

2. The following Regulations are revoked—

(a) the Children Act 2004 Information Database (England) Regulations 2007( 2 );

(b) the Children Act 2004 Information Database (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2010( 3 ).

Consequential Amendments

3. In Schedule 2 to the Offender Management Act 2007 (Consequential Amendments) Order 2008( 4 ) omit paragraph 15.

4. In Schedule 3 to the Local Education Authorities and Children’s Services Authorities (Integration of Functions) (Local and Subordinate Legislation) Order 2010( 5 ) omit paragraph 76.

5. In the Schedule to the Secretary of State for Education Order 2010( 6 ) omit paragraph 8.
