The Secretary of State for Transport makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 41(1), (2) and (5) of the Road Traffic Act 1988( 1 ).

Representative organisations have been consulted in accordance with section 195(2) of that Act.

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) (Amendment) Regulations 2012 and come into force on 25th June 2012.

Revocations

2. The revocations set out in the Schedule have effect.

Amendment of Regulations

3. The Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986( 2 ) are amended as follows.

4. In paragraph 7 of Part I of Schedule 7B (emissions from certain motor vehicles), for subparagraph (b) substitute—

(b) “the emissions publication” is the publication entitled “In Service Exhaust Emission Standards for Road Vehicles - Seventeenth Edition” ( ISBN 978-0-9549352-7-6) published by the Department for Transport. .
