The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Her Majesty is satisfied, to the extent this Order relates to a country that is not a Convention country nor another member State of the European Union, that provision has been made or will be made under the law of that country, giving adequate protection to the owners of copyright in respect of works under Part 1 of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988( 1 ).

Accordingly, Her Majesty, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on Her by section 159 of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988( 2 ), makes the following Order:

Citation, commencement and interpretation.

(2) The provisions of this Order come into force on the day on which Part 1 of the Intellectual Property (Unregistered Rights) (Jersey) Law 2011( 3 ) comes into force in its entirety.

(2) In the first four columns of the Schedule, after the entry relating to Japan, insertβ€”

β€œ Jersey, the Bailiwick of Applies (+) Applies (X) Applies ”
