The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred upon Her by section 247 of the Local Government Act 1972( 1 ), is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Authorities (Armorial Bearings) Order 2012 and shall come into force on 11th July 2012.

2. The armorial bearings which, immediately before 1st April 1974, were lawfully borne and used by the corporation of the Borough of Ludlow may be borne and used by Ludlow Town Council, provided they have first been exemplified according to the laws of arms and recorded in the College of Arms.
