The Secretary of State for Education makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 21(3) of the Education Act 2002( 1 ).

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Education (School Government) (Terms of Reference) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2012 and come into force on 1st September 2012.

Amendment to the Education (School Government) (Terms of Reference) (England) Regulations 2000

2. In the Education (School Government) (Terms of Reference) (England) Regulations 2000( 2 ) omit regulation 8 (school curriculum policy).

S.I. 2000/2122 , to which there are amendments not relevant to these Regulations. Following the repeal of sections 38 and 44 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998, these Regulations have effect as if made under sections 21(3) and 34(5)(e) of the Education Act 2002, by virtue of the section 17(2)(b) of the Interpretation act 1978.
