The Policing and Crime Act 2009 (Commencement No. 8) Order 2012

The Secretary of State makes the following Order in the exercise of the powers conferred by section 116(1) of the Policing and Crime Act 2009( 1 ).

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Policing and Crime Act 2009 (Commencement No. 8) Order 2012.

(2) In this Order “the Act” means the Policing and Crime Act 2009 .

(3) This Order extends to England and Wales and Northern Ireland.

2. The day appointed for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Act is 10th September 2012:

(a) section 96;

(b) section 112(1) insofar as it relates to the provisions of Schedule 7 specified in paragraph (c) below;
