The Secretary of State is a Minister designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972( 1 ) in relation to measures relating to redundancy among steel workers( 2 ).
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 the Secretary of State makes the following Regulations.
Citation and commencement
1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Iron and Steel Employees Re-adaptation Benefits Scheme) (No. 2) (Revocation) Regulations 2012 and come into force on 1st October 2012.
Revocation
2. The following Regulations are revokedβ
(a) the European Communities (Iron and Steel Employees Re-adaptation Benefits Scheme) (No. 2) Regulations 1988( 3 );
(b) the European Communities (Iron and Steel Employees Re-adaptation Benefits Scheme) (No. 2) (Scheme Termination) Regulations 1994( 4 );
(c) the European Communities (Iron and Steel Employees Re-adaptation Benefits Scheme) (No. 2) (Amendment) Regulations 1996( 5 ).

S.I. 1972/1811 , to which there are amendments not relevant to these Regulations.
S.I. 1988/538 , amended by S.I. 1996/3182 ; there are other amending instruments but none is relevant.
