The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 25 of the Greater London Authority Act 1999( 1 ), makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Greater London Authority (Limitation of Salaries) (Amendment) Order 2012 and shall come into force on 3rd May 2012.

Amendment to the Greater London Authority (Limitation of Salaries) Order 2000

2. β€”(1)Article 2 of the Greater London Authority (Limitation of Salaries) Order 2000( 2 ) is amended as follows.

(2) Omit the word β€œor” at the end of paragraph (a).

(3) Insert β€œ; or” at the end of paragraph (b).

(4) After paragraph (b) insertβ€”

β€œ (c) under Article 9 of the Statute for Members of the European Parliament (European Parliament Decision 2005/684/ EC , Euratom ( 3 ) ) (entitlement to salary for MEPs ). ” .
