The Environmental Protection Act 1990 (Commencement No. 19) Order 2012

The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 164(3) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990( 1 ):

Citation

1. This Order may be cited as the Environmental Protection Act 1990 (Commencement No. 19) Order 2012.

Provisions coming into force on 1st April 2012

2. The day appointed for the coming into force of section 162(2) of, and Part 2 of Schedule 16 to, the Environmental Protection Act 1990 so far as relating to the repeal of section 1 of the Refuse Disposal (Amenity) Act 1978( 2 ) is 1st April 2012.

1978 c. 3 . The repeal of section 1 does not extend to Scotland: see section 162(2) of, and the note in Part 2 of Schedule 2 to, the Environmental Protection Act 1990. Section 1 was modified in its effect by S.I. 1985/1884 , article 5 and Schedule 2, paragraphs 13 and 14.
