The Energy Act 2011 (Commencement No 2) Order 2013

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the power conferred by section 121(1) of the Energy Act 2011( 1 ), makes the following Order.

Citation and interpretation

1. β€”(1) This Order may be cited as the Energy Act 2011 (Commencement No 2) Order 2013.

(2) In this Order, β€œthe Act” means the Energy Act 2011.

Provisions which have been commenced for certain purposes and which come into force on 28th January 2013 for all remaining purposes

2. The following provisions of Chapter 1 of Part 1 of the Act (green deal) come into force on 28th January 2013 for all purposes for which they are not already in forceβ€”

(a) sections 1 and 2 (green deal plans);

(b) sections 4, 5, 7 to 9 and 11( 2 ) (green deal plan);

(c) sections 12, 13, 14(1) to (5) and 14(9) (disclosure of green deal plans etc );

(d) section 29 (early repayment of green deal finance).

Provisions coming into force on 28th January 2013

3. The following provisions of Chapter 1 of Part 1 of the Act (green deal) come into force on 28th January 2013β€”

(a) sections 23 and 24 (gas and electricity codes);

(b) sections 25 to 28 (modifying consumer credit legislation).
