The Children and Young Persons Act 2008 (Commencement No. 5) (England) Order 2013

The Secretary of State for Education makes the following Order in exercise of the power conferred by section 44(4) of the Children and Young Persons Act 2008:

Citation

1. This Order may be cited as the Children and Young Persons Act 2008 (Commencement No. 5) (England) Order 2013.

Appointed day

2. 12th November 2013 is the appointed day for the coming into force in England of the following sections of the Children and Young Persons Act 2008 (”the Act”)( 1 )—

(a) section 1 of the Act insofar as it is not already in force (power to enter into arrangements for discharge of care functions), and

(b) section 4 of the Act (regulation of providers of social work services).
