This Statutory Instrument has been made to amend a defect in the Smoke Control Areas (Exempted Fireplaces) (England) (No. 2) Order 2013 ( S.I. 2013/2112 ) and is being issued free of charge to all known recipients of that Statutory Instrument.

The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 21 of the Clean Air Act 1993( 1 ).
The Secretary of State is satisfied that the fireplace exempted by this Order can be used for burning fuel other than authorised fuels( 2 ) without producing any smoke or a substantial quantity of smoke.
Citation and commencement
1. This Order—
(a) may be cited as the Smoke Control Areas (Exempted Fireplaces) (England) (No. 2) (Amendment) Order 2013;
(b) comes into force on 25th December 2013.
Amendment to the Smoke Control Areas (Exempted Fireplaces) (England) (No. 2) Order 2013
2. —(1)The Smoke Control Areas (Exempted Fireplaces) (England) (No. 2) Order 2013( 3 ) is amended as follows.
(2) In the Schedule in the entry beginning “Sirius 490 Sigma MF”, after “Sirius 490 Scene MF” insert, “Sirius 790 Sigma MF”.

Fuels declared by the Secretary of State to be authorised fuels for the purposes of Part 3 of the Clean Air Act 1993 under section 20(6) of that Act are specified in S.I. 2013/2111 .
