The Lord Chancellor, after consulting the Lord Chief Justice, makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 92(6) of and Part 1 of Schedule 11 to the Children Act 1989( 1 ).

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Allocation and Transfer of Proceedings (Amendment) Order 2013 and shall come into force on 25th March 2013.

Revocation of jurisdiction

2. Trowbridge County Court shall cease to be a family hearing centre.

3. Chippenham and Trowbridge County Court shall be a family hearing centre( 2 ).

Amendments to the Allocation and Transfer of Proceedings Order 2008

4. —(1) The Allocation and Transfer of Proceedings Order 2008( 3 ) shall be amended as follows.

(2) In Schedule 1 omit the entry relating to Trowbridge County Court.

(3) In Schedule 1 after the entry for Chichester County Court insert—

(a) in the first column “Chippenham and Trowbridge County Court”;

(b) in the second column “Yes”.
