The Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 83A(6)(b) and 262(1)(a) of the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009( 1 ).

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Apprenticeships (the Apprenticeship Offer) (Prescribed Persons) Regulations 2013 and come into force on 6th April 2013.

Prescribed persons

2. For the purposes of section 83A(6)(b) of the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009, a person is of a prescribed description if that person is—

(a) aged 19 or over but under 25; and

(b) has a disability within the meaning of section 6(1) of the Equality Act 2010( 2 ).
