The Police and Justice Act 2006 (Commencement No. 16) Order 2013

The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 49(3) and 53(1) of the Police and Justice Act 2006( 1 ):

Citation

1. This order may be cited as the Police and Justice Act 2006 (Commencement No. 16) Order 2013.

Provisions coming into force on 8th April 2013

2. —(1) Subject to paragraph (2), section 17(1) to (4) of the Police and Justice Act 2006 (conditional cautions: types of caution) comes into force on 8th April 2013 so far as it is not already in force.

(2) Section 17(3) (types of conditions that may be attached to cautions) comes into force in accordance with paragraph (1) only so far as it inserts section 22(3A)(a) of the Criminal Justice Act 2003( 2 ) (condition that the offender pay a financial penalty).
