1. This Order may be cited as the B1248 Trunk Road (Scarborough Road/Brambling Fields Interchange) (Detrunking) Order 2013 and shall come into force on 29th April 2013.
2. In this Orderβ
βthe planβ means the plan numbered HA/10/NDD/004, marked βThe B1248 Trunk Road (Scarborough Road/Brambling Fields Interchange) (Detrunking) Order 2013β, signed by authority of the Secretary of State for Transport and deposited at Communities and Local Government, Deposited Document Services, Room F13, Ashdown House, St Leonards on Sea, Hastings, East Sussex, TN37 7GA;
βclassified roadβ as a classification for a highway, means that the highway is not a principal road for the purposes of enactments and instruments which refer to highways classified as principal roads but is a classified road for the purpose of every enactment and instrument which refers to highways classified by the Secretary of State and which does not specifically refer to their classification as principal roads; and
βthe trunk roadβ means the B1248 Trunk Road in the District of Ryedale in the County of North Yorkshire.
3. The length of the trunk road described in the Schedule to this Order shall cease to be a trunk road and shall be classified as a classified road as from the date on which the Secretary of State notifies the North Yorkshire County Council (who will become the highway authority responsible for these lengths), that the Order has come into force.

SCHEDULE LENGTH OF THE TRUNK ROAD CEASING TO BE TRUNK ROAD
The length of the trunk road ceasing to be a trunk road is the B1248 Scarborough Road from a point 110 metres south west of its junction with the Brambling Fields Interchange western roundabout to its junction with that roundabout, as shown by heavy black hatching on the plan.
