Present,

The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred upon Her by section 4(4) of the Territorial Sea Act 1987( 1 ), is pleased by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Territorial Sea Act 1987 (Guernsey) Order 2014 and shall come into force on 19th May 2014.

2. Sections 1 and 4(1) of the Territorial Sea Act 1987 shall extend to the Bailiwick of Guernsey with the exceptions, adaptations and modifications specified in the Schedule to this Order.

Article 2

SCHEDULE Exception, adaptations and modifications in the extension of sections 1 and 4(1) of the Territorial Sea Act 1987 to the Bailiwick of Guernsey

In section 1—

(a) Subsections (1)(a) and (2) shall be omitted;

(b) In subsection (3), for “Secretary of State” there shall be substituted “Lieutenant Governor”;

(c) In subsections (4) and (5), for “coming into force of this section” there shall be substituted “extension of this section to the Bailiwick of Guernsey”;

(d) In subsections (5) and (6), for “United Kingdom” there shall be substituted “Bailiwick of Guernsey”;

(e) In subsections (5) and (6), after “enactment” there shall be inserted “contained in an Act of Parliament”.
