Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 13 of Part II of Schedule 7 and paragraph 10 of Part II of Schedule 6 to the Merchant Shipping Act 1995( 1 ), is pleased by and with the advice of Her Privy Council to order, and it is ordered, as follows:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Limitation of Liability for Maritime Claims (Parties to Convention) Order 1986 and the Carriage of Passengers and their Luggage by Sea (Parties to Convention) Order 1987 (Revocation) Order 2014 and comes into force on 28th May 2014.

Revocation of orders

2. The following orders are revoked—

(a) the Limitation of Liability for Maritime Claims (Parties to the Convention) Order 1986( 2 ); and

(b) the Carriage of Passengers and their Luggage by Sea (Parties to Convention) Order 1987( 3 ).

S.I.1986/2224 . Following the repeal and re-enactment of Schedule 4 to the Merchant Shipping Act 1979 (c.39) this order has effect as if made under Schedule 7 to the Merchant Shipping Act 1995.

S.I. 1987/931 . Following the repeal and re-enactment of Schedule 3 to the Merchant Shipping Act 1979 this order has effect as if made under Schedule 6 to the Merchant Shipping Act 1995.
