The Energy Act 2008 (Commencement No. 6) Order 2014

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 110(2) and (3) of the Energy Act 2008( 1 ), makes the following Order:

Citation and interpretation

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Energy Act 2008 (Commencement No. 6) Order 2014.

(2) In this Order, “the Act” means the Energy Act 2008.

Commencement

2. The following provisions of the Act come into force on 10th June 2014—

(a) for all remaining purposes, section 44(3) (offshore electricity transmission); and

(b) section 108 and Schedule 6 (repeals) so far as they repeal section 180(2) (meaning of ‘high voltage line’) of the Energy Act 2004( 2 ).
