The Registration of Civil Partnerships (Fees) Order 2014

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 34(1) and 258(2) of the Civil Partnership Act 2004 (“the Act”)( 1 ), and now vested in her( 2 ), makes the following Order.

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Registration of Civil Partnerships (Fees) Order 2014 and comes into force on 1st September 2014.

Fees payable

2. In respect of the matters set out in column 1 of Schedule 1, the fee specified in column 3 is payable to the person specified in column 4.

Revocations

3. The following Orders are revoked—

(a) the Registration of Civil Partnerships (Fees) Order 2005( 3 );

(b) the Registration of Civil Partnerships (Fees) (No. 2) Order 2005( 4 );

(c) the Registration of Civil Partnerships (Fees) (Amendment) Order 2010( 5 );

(d) the Registration of Civil Partnerships (Fees) (Amendment) Order 2012( 6 ).

“Certified copy” is defined in regulation 2(1) of, and is issued by a registration authority in accordance with regulations 14 to 16 of, the Civil Partnership (Registration Provisions) Regulations 2005 ( S.I. 2005/3176 ).

“Certified extract” is defined in regulation 2(1) of, and is issued by a registration authority in accordance with regulations 14 to 16 of those Regulations.

Certified copies and certified extracts are issued by the Registrar General in accordance with regulations 13, 15 and 16 of those Regulations.
