The Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 16(1)(b) and (5) and 17(2)(b) of the Further and Higher Education Act 1992( 1 ) (“the Act”).

In accordance with section 16(1) of the Act, the Secretary of State has obtained the consent of the governing body of the existing educational institution. In accordance with section 16A(1) of the Act, the Secretary of State has published a draft of the proposed order in the prescribed manner( 2 ).

1. This Order may be cited as the Prospects College of Advanced Technology (Incorporation) Order 2014 and comes into force on 31st August 2014.

2. There is established a body corporate called “Prospects College of Advanced Technology” for the purpose of establishing and conducting as from the operative date an existing educational institution called “Prospects College”.

3. The operative date in relation to the further education corporation established by this Order is 1st September 2014.
