The Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 (Commencement No. 5) Order 2014

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 185(1) of the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014( 1 ), makes the following Order:

Citation and interpretation

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 (Commencement No. 5) Order 2014.

(2) In this Order “the 2014 Act” means the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 .

Provisions coming into force in all jurisdictions to which they extend

2. The following provisions of the 2014 Act come into force on 1st September 2014—

(a) sections 116 to 118 (child sexual exploitation at hotels);

(b) section 132 (establishment of police remuneration review body);

(c) section 133(1), (2) and (4) (consultation about regulations: England and Wales);

(d) section 134 (consultation about regulations: Northern Ireland);

(e) section 181(1) (amendments), insofar as it relates to the provisions of Schedule 11 specified in sub-paragraph (f);

(f) in Schedule 11 (minor and consequential amendments)

(i) paragraph 83;

(ii) paragraph 87;

(iii) paragraph 89;

(iv) paragraph 91;

(v) paragraph 92, so far as it is not already in force;

(vi) paragraph 102, in relation to the repeals relating to—

(aa) the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 1998( 2 );

(bb) the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 2000( 3 );

(cc) the Northern Ireland Act 1998 (Devolution of Policing and Justice Functions) the Order 2010( 4 ).

Provisions coming into force in relation to England and Wales

3. The following provisions of the 2014 Act come into force on 1st September 2014 in relation to England and Wales—

(a) section 133(3) (consultation about regulations: England and Wales);

(b) section 181(1) (amendments), insofar as it relates to the provisions of Schedule 11 specified in sub-paragraph (c);

(c) in Schedule 11 (minor and consequential amendments), paragraph 102, in relation to the repeal relating to the Police Act 1996( 5 ).

Provisions coming into force in relation to England and Wales and Northern Ireland

4. The following provisions of the 2014 Act come into force on 1st September 2014 in relation to England and Wales and Northern Ireland—

(a) section 131 (abolition of Police Negotiating Board for the United Kingdom);

(b) section 133(5) (consultation about regulations: England and Wales);

(c) section 181(1) (amendments), insofar as it relates to the provisions of Schedule 11 specified in sub-paragraph (d);

(d) in Schedule 11 (minor and consequential amendments), paragraph 102, in relation to the repeals relating to—

(i) the Freedom of Information Act 2000( 6 );

(ii) paragraph 38 of Schedule 16 to the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011( 7 ).
