The Police Act 1997 (Commencement No. 12) (England and Wales) Order 2014

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 135 of the Police Act 1997( 1 ), makes the following Order.

Citation and extent

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Police Act 1997 (Commencement No. 12) (England and Wales) Order 2014.

(2) This Order extends to England and Wales.

Commencement

2.Section 112 of the Police Act 1997( 2 ) (criminal conviction certificates) shall come into force on 10th March 2014.

Section 112 has been amended by section 50(2) of the Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008 (c. 4) , section 97(2) and paragraph 1 of Schedule 8 to the Policing and Crime Act 2009 (c. 26) , sections 80(1) and 84 of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 (c. 9) and S.I. 2012/3006 .
