The Defence Reform Act 2014 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2014

The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 50(1) and (2) of the Defence Reform Act 2014( 1 ):

Citation and interpretation

1. This Order may be cited as the Defence Reform Act 2014 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2014.

2. In this Order “the Act” means the Defence Reform Act 2014 .

Commencement

3. Section 46 of the Act and Schedule 7 to the Act come into force on 5th September 2014.

4. The following provisions of the Act come into force on 1st October 2014—

(a) section 44;

(b) section 45 and Schedule 6;

(c) section 47; and

(d) section 48.
