The Civil Aviation Act 2012 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2014

The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 110(1) and (6)(a) of the Civil Aviation Act 2012( 1 ).

Citation and interpretation

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Civil Aviation Act 2012 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2014.

(2) In this Order “the 2012 Act” means the Civil Aviation Act 2012.

Provisions coming into force on 11th March 2014

2.Section 82 (transfer schemes) of the 2012 Act and Schedule 12 (aviation security: further provision about transfer schemes) to the 2012 Act come into force on 11th March 2014.

Provisions coming into force on 1st April 2014

3. The following provisions of the 2012 Act come into force on 1st April 2014—

(a) section 78 (aviation security directions etc ) and Schedule 11 (aviation security directions etc: minor and consequential amendments),

(b) section 79 (approved providers of aviation security services),

(c) section 80 (advice and assistance in connection with aviation security), and

(d) section 81 (power to modify functions of CAA etc relating to aviation security).
