Citation, commencement and extent
1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Russia, Crimea and Sevastopol (Sanctions) (Overseas Territories) (Amendment) Order 2014 and comes into force on 13th November 2014.
(2) In this Order, “the principal Order” means the Russia, Crimea and Sevastopol (Sanctions) (Overseas Territories) Order 2014( 3 ).
(3) This Order extends to the territories listed in Schedule 1 to the principal Order.
Amendments to the principal Order
2. The principal Order is amended as follows.
3. After article 8 insert—
“ Providing assistance related to the transfer of oil exploration technologies
8A. —(1) It is an offence for a person to knowingly provide (directly or indirectly) assistance relating to the sale, supply, transfer or export of any of the technologies listed in Annex II to the Russia Sanctions Regulation—
(a) to any person in Russia, or
(b) for use in Russia.
(2) It is an offence for a person to knowingly provide (directly or indirectly) assistance relating to the maintenance or manufacture of any of the technologies listed in Annex II to the Russia Sanctions Regulation—
(a) by any person in Russia, or
(b) for use in Russia.
(3) This article is subject to articles 13 and 14. ”
4. In articles 13(1), 13(2), 13(3)(a), 14, 20(1) and paragraph 1(2) of Schedule 2, after “8,” insert “8A,”.
5. In article 13(3)(b) after “article 8(1)” insert “or 8A”.
