The Railways (Interoperability) (Amendment) Regulations 2014

The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 247 of the Transport Act 2000( 1 ).

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Railways (Interoperability) (Amendment) Regulations 2014 and come into force on 1st January 2015.

Amendment to the Railways (Interoperability) Regulations 2011

2. —(1) The Railways (Interoperability) Regulations 2011( 2 ) are amended as follows.

(2) In regulation 2(1), in the definition of “the Directive”—

(a) at the end of (b) omit “and”; and

(b) at the end of (c) insert—

(d) Commission Directive 2014/38/ EU of 10th March 2014 amending Annex III to Directive 2008/57/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council as far as noise pollution is concerned ( 3 ) .
