The Civil Aviation (Miscellaneous Revocations) Regulations 2014

The Secretary of State is a Minister designated( 1 ) for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972( 2 ) in relation to measures relating to air transport.

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972, makes the following Regulations.

Citation, commencement and extent

1. β€”(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Civil Aviation (Miscellaneous Revocations) Regulations 2014 and come into force on 5th January 2015.

(2) Regulation 2 extends to Northern Ireland only( 3 ).

Revocations

2. The following instruments are revokedβ€”

(a) The Civil Aviation (Personnel Licences) Order 1992( 4 ), and

(b) The Civil Aviation (Personnel Licences) Order 1992 (Amendment) Regulations 1994( 5 ).

3. The Procurement of Air Navigation Equipment (Technical Specifications) Regulations 1997( 6 ) are revoked.

Paragraph 4 of Schedule 3 to the Northern Ireland Act 1998 (c. 47) provides that civil aviation (but not aerodromes) is a reserved matter.
