The Lord Chancellor, and in relation to any judicial office whose jurisdiction is exercised exclusively in Scotland, the Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 8A(1), (6) and (7) of the District Judges (Magistrates’ Courts) Pensions Act (Northern Ireland) 1960( 1 ), and sections 33ZA(1), (6) and (7) of the Judicial Pensions Act 1981( 2 ), and sections 9A(1) and 29 of the Judicial Pensions and Retirement Act 1993( 3 ), and with the concurrence of the Treasury, make the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Judicial Pensions (Contributions) (Amendment) Regulations 2014 and shall come into force on 1st April 2014.
Amendment of the Judicial Pensions (Contributions) Regulations 2012
2.The Judicial Pensions (Contributions) Regulations 2012( 4 ) are amended as follows.
3. In regulation 3 (rate of contributions), for “2.56%” substitute “3.2%”.
