Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 147(3) of the Merchant Shipping Act 1995( 1 ), is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order as follows:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Prevention of Oil Pollution (Convention Countries) (Revocation) Order 2014 and comes into force on 7th April 2014.

Revocation

2.The Prevention of Oil Pollution (Convention Countries) Order 1981( 2 ) is revoked.

S.I. 1981/612 . Following the repeal of section 21(3) of the Prevention of Oil Pollution Act 1971 (c. 60) and the re-enactment of the powers (with modifications) in section 147(3) of the Merchant Shipping Act 1995, this Order has effect as if made under those re-enacted provisions.
