The Superannuation (Admission to Schedule 1 to the Superannuation Act 1972) Order 2014

The Minister for the Civil Service, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 1(5) of the Superannuation Act 1972( 1 ) and now vested in him( 2 ) makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Superannuation (Admission to Schedule 1 to the Superannuation Act 1972) Order 2014, and shall come into force on 1st April 2014.

Employments

2. —(1) Section 1 of the Superannuation Act 1972 applies to employment by—

(a) the Commissioners of Irish Lights;

(b) the Commissioners of Northern Lighthouses;

(c) the House of Commons Commission; and

(d) the Trinity House Lighthouse Service.

(2) Accordingly, Schedule 1 to the Superannuation Act 1972 is amended by—

(a) inserting, in the appropriate place in the list of “Royal Commissions and Other Commissions”, the entry “Employment by the House of Commons Commission”;

(b) inserting, in the appropriate places in the list of “Other Bodies”, the entries—

Employment by the Commissioners of Irish Lights”;

Employment by the Commissioners of Northern Lighthouses”; and

Employment by the Trinity House Lighthouse Service”.
