The Warm Home Discount (Amendment) Regulations 2014

Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1
The Secretary of State has consulted the Gas and Electricity Markets Authority, licensed electricity suppliers, licensed gas suppliers and such other persons as the Secretary of State thinks appropriate.
The Secretary of State has conducted a review in accordance with provision made under section 14(4)(b) of the Energy Act 2010( 1 ) (โthe Actโ).
In accordance with section 31(2) of the Act a draft of these Regulations has been laid before and approved by resolution of each House of Parliament.
Accordingly, the Secretary of State makes these Regulations with the consent of the Treasury( 2 ) in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 9 and 31(5) and (6) of the Act.
Title and commencement
1. โ(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Warm Home Discount (Amendment) Regulations 2014.
(2) These Regulations come into force on the day after the day on which they are made.
Amendments to regulation 14 of the Warm Home Discount Regulations 2011
2. โ(1)Regulation 14 (Adjustments for banking and borrowing) of the Warm Home Discount Regulations 2011( 3 ) is amended as follows.
(2) For paragraph (3)(b), substituteโ
โ (b) in relation toโ
(i) scheme years 2 and 3, 1% of S t-1 , if the amount determined under sub-paragraph (a) is greater than 1% of S t-1 ; or
(ii) scheme year 4, 34% of S t-1 , if the amount determined under sub-paragraph (a) is greater than 34% of S t-1 . โ .
