Their Lordships make the following order in exercise of the powers conferred by article 7(4)(b) of the Health Care and Associated Professions (Miscellaneous Amendments and Practitioner Psychologists) Order 2009( 1 ).

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Dentists Act 1984 (Medical Authorities) Order 2014 and comes into force on 2nd April 2014.

Designation of Queen Mary University of London

2. Queen Mary University of London is designated for the purposes of article 7(4)(b) of the Health Care and Associated Professions (Miscellaneous Amendments and Practitioner Psychologists) Order 2009 and accordingly is a β€œmedical authority” for the purposes of section 3 of the Dentists Act 1984( 2 ) (power of medical authorities to hold examinations and grant licences in dentistry).
