The Yarmouth (Isle of Wight) Harbour Commissioners (Removal of Pilotage Functions) Order 2015

The Yarmouth (Isle of Wight) Harbour Commissioners are the harbour authority for the Yarmouth (Isle of Wight) harbour described in article 3 of, and Schedule 1 to, the Yarmouth (Isle of Wight) Harbour Revision Order 2011( 1 ) and are currently the competent harbour authority within the meaning of the Pilotage Act 1987( 2 ) for that harbour.

The Secretary of State Makes the following Order in Exercise of the powers conferred by section 1(4A) of the Pilotage Act 1987.

In accordance with section 1(8A) of that Act the Secretary of State has consulted the Yarmouth (Isle of Wight) Harbour Commissioners and other persons whom the Secretary of State thought appropriate.

Citation and commencement

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Yarmouth (Isle of Wight) Harbour Commissioners (Removal of Pilotage Functions) Order 2015.

(2) This Order comes into force on 1st March 2015.

Removal of pilotage functions

2. The Yarmouth (Isle of Wight) Harbour Commissioners are no longer a competent harbour authority for the purposes of the Pilotage Act 1987.
