Citation, commencement and extent
(2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales.
Variation of speed limit for naval, military and air force track-laying vehicles
2. —(1)Schedule 6 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (speed limits for vehicles of certain classes) is amended as follows.
(2) In the table in Part III (track-laying vehicles), after item 5 insert—
“ 6. | A motor vehicle of a class specified in item 1 or 2 above, or in item 5 as a result of paragraph (a) of the class description of that item, which— (a) is being used for naval, military or air force purposes, (b) is being driven by persons for the time being subject to the orders of a member of the armed forces of the Crown, and (c) is being used in England or Wales. | 40 ” |
(3) In paragraph 4 of Part IV (application and interpretation)—
(a) the existing text becomes sub-paragraph (1);
(b) after sub-paragraph (1) insert—
“ (2) A vehicle falling in the class specified in item 6 in Part III shall be treated as falling in that class (and not as also falling in any other class). ”

1984 c.27 . Section 130 has been amended but none of the amendments are relevant to these Regulations.
Section 134(2) has been amended by the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 (c.54) , section 126, Schedule 7, paragraph 4 and the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (c.22) , section 168(1), Schedule 8, Part II, paragraph 77.
