The Serious Crime Act 2015 (Commencement No. 3) Regulations 2015

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the power conferred by section 88(1) of the Serious Crime Act 2015( 1 ), makes the following Regulations.

Citation and interpretation

1. —(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Serious Crime Act 2015 (Commencement No. 3) Regulations 2015.

(2) In these Regulations “the 2015 Act” means the Serious Crime Act 2015.

Provisions coming into force on 31st October 2015

2. The following provisions of the 2015 Act come into force on 31st October 2015—

(a) section 74 (duty to notify police of female genital mutilation);

(b) section 75 (guidance about female genital mutilation);

(c) section 85(1) (minor and consequential amendments), for the purposes of paragraph 60 of Schedule 4 (minor and consequential amendments); and

(d) paragraph 60 of Schedule 4.

Provision coming into force on 10th November 2015

3. Section 79 of the 2015 Act (throwing articles into prisons) comes into force on 10th November 2015.
