In accordance with section 391N(1) of the Insolvency Act 1986( 1 ) the Law Society for Scotland has requested that an order be made to revoke the Insolvency Practitioners (Recognised Professional Bodies) Order 1986( 2 ) insofar as it declares that the Law Society for Scotland is a recognised professional body under section 391 of the Insolvency Act 1986( 3 ). The Secretary of State is satisfied that it is appropriate in all the circumstances of the case to make that revocation.
The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 391N(1) of the Insolvency Act 1986.
In accordance with section 391N(3) of the Insolvency Act 1986 the Secretary of State published a notice specifying that the Order is to take effect from 18th January 2016 and the reasons for making the Order.
Citation, commencement and effect
1. β(1) This Order may be cited as the Insolvency Practitioners (Recognised Professional Bodies) (Revocation of Recognition) Order 2015 and comes into force on 18th January 2016.
(2) This Order has effect from 18th January 2016.
