The Misuse of Drugs (Designation) (Amendment) (England, Wales and Scotland) Order 2015

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 7(4) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971( 1 ), and after consultation with the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs in accordance with section 7(7) of that Act, makes the following Order:

Citation, commencement and extent

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Misuse of Drugs (Designation) (Amendment) (England, Wales and Scotland) Order 2015 and comes into force on 11th March 2015.

(2) This Order extends to England and Wales and Scotland.

Amendment to the Misuse of Drugs (Designation) Order 2001

2. —(1)The Misuse of Drugs (Designation) Order 2001( 2 ) is amended as follows.

(2) In paragraph 1(a) of Part 1 of the Schedule—

(a) after “4-Bromo-2,5-dimethoxy-a-methylphenethylamine” insert—

1-Cyclohexyl-4-(1,2-diphenylethyl)piperazine (MT-45) ;

(b) after “4-Methyl-aminorex” insert—

4-Methyl-5-(4-methylphenyl)-4,5-dihydrooxazol-2-amine (4,4’-DMAR) .
