The Financial Services (Banking Reform) Act 2013 (Commencement No. 9) Order 2015

The Treasury make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 148(5) of the Financial Services (Banking Reform) Act 2013( 1 ).

Citation and interpretation

1. β€”(1) This Order may be cited as the Financial Services (Banking Reform) Act 2013 (Commencement No. 9) Order 2015.

(2) In this Orderβ€”

β€œthe Act” means the Financial Services (Banking Reform) Act 2013;

β€œFSMA” means the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000( 2 ).

Appointed day for the coming into force of certain provisions of the Act

2. β€”(1) 7th March 2016 is the day appointed for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Actβ€”

(a) section 29 for the purpose of inserting section 63F into FSMA;

(b) sections 18, 20, 30, 31, 35 and Schedule 3 so far as those provisions are not already in force; and

(c) sections 21 to 26, 32, 34 and 36 to 38 for all purposes.

(2) 7th March 2017 is the day appointed for the coming into force of section 29 of the Act so far as that section is not already in force.
