The Public Service Pensions Act 2013 (Judicial Offices) Order 2015

The Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State make this Order in exercise of the power conferred by paragraph 2 of Schedule 1 to the Public Service Pensions Act 2013(1).

Citation and CommencementI1

1. This Order may be cited as the Public Service Pensions Act 2013 (Judicial Offices) Order 2015 and comes into force on 1st April 2015.

InterpretationI2

2. For the purposes of this Order, an office is “held on a salaried basis” if service in that office is remunerated by payment of a salary.

Judicial OfficesI3

3. A person who holds one of the offices specified in [F1Schedule 1 or Schedule 2F1] is a member of the judiciary for the purposes of the Public Service Pensions Act 2013.

1978 (c. 23); section 74(1) was substituted by the Northern Ireland Act 2009 (c. 3), section 2(3) and Schedule 4, paragraph 16(1) and (2) and the Department of Justice Act (Northern Ireland) 2010 (c. 3), section 1(5) and Schedule, paragraph 5(3). There are other amending Acts but none is relevant.
