The Environment and Rural Affairs (Miscellaneous Revocations) Regulations 2015

The Secretary of State is designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972( 1 ) in relation to the common agricultural policy( 2 ) and the environment( 3 ).

The Secretary of State has consulted Natural England and the Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission for England in accordance with section 99 of the Environment Act 1995( 4 ).

The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972, paragraph 8 of Schedule 2 to the Water Act 1983( 5 ) and, with the consent of the Treasury, section 56(1) and (2) of the Finance Act 1973( 6 ).

Citation, commencement and application

1. —(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Environment and Rural Affairs (Miscellaneous Revocations) Regulations 2015 and come into force on 1st April 2015.

(2) Regulations 2 to 4 apply to England.

(3) Regulation 5 applies to England and Wales.

Animals

2.The Animals and Animal Products (Import and Export) (England) (Laboratories, Circuses and Avian Quarantine) Regulations 2007( 7 ) are revoked.

Agriculture

3. The following Regulations are revoked—

(a) the Milk Marketing Boards (Special Conditions) Regulations 1981( 8 );

(b) the Countryside Access Regulations 1994( 9 );

(c) the Countryside Access (Amendment) Regulations 1996( 10 );

(d) the Selective Cull (Enforcement of Community Compensation Conditions) Regulations 1996( 11 );

(e) the Bovine Hides Regulations 1997( 12 );

(f) the Countryside Access (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 1999( 13 );

(g) the BSE Monitoring (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2001( 14 );

(h) the Older Cattle (Disposal) (England) Regulations 2005( 15 ); and

(i) the Dairy (Specific Market Support Measure) Regulations 2010( 16 ).

Environmental protection

4.The Environmental Protection (Disposal of Polychlorinated Biphenyls and other Dangerous Substances) (England and Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2000( 17 ) are revoked.

Water

5.The Water (Compensation) Regulations 1983( 18 ) are revoked.
