The Secretary of State makes this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 76(2)(b) of the Education Act 2002( 1 ).

Citation, commencement and application

1. This Order may be cited as the Education (National Curriculum) (Specified Purpose) (England) Order 2015 and comes into force on 1st September 2015.

Specified purpose of assessment arrangements

2. The purpose of determining the suitability of test materials for use in National Curriculum tests at key stages 1 and 2 is specified for the purposes of section 76(2)(b) of the Education Act 2002.
