The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 43(9)(a) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015( 1 ), makes the following Regulations.

Citation and commencement

1. —(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (Duty to Co-operate with Commissioner) Regulations 2016.

(2) These Regulations come into force on 25th November 2016.

Specified public authority: Director of Labour Market Enforcement

2. In the category of public authorities entitled “Regulators” in Schedule 3 to the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (public authorities under a duty to co-operate with the Commissioner)( 2 ), after “The Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority.”, insert “The Director of Labour Market Enforcement.” as a new entry.
