The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 32(4)(b) and (6) of the Counter-Terrorism and Security Act 2015( 1 ).

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Counter-Terrorism and Security Act 2015 (Monitoring of Further Education Bodies) (England) Regulations 2016 and come into force on 1st August 2016.

Monitoring Authority for Relevant Further Education Bodies

2. The Secretary of State delegates the function under section 32(2) of the Counter-Terrorism and Security Act 2015 to a person who has entered into a written agreement with the Secretary of State—

(a) before the date these Regulations come into force; and

(b) under which that person has agreed to monitor a relevant further education body’s performance in discharging the duty imposed by section 26(1) of that Act.
