The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Her Majesty, in the exercise of the powers conferred upon Her by section 1(1) of the Marshall Scholarships Act 1959( 1 ), is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order as follows:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Marshall Scholarships Order 2017 and comes into force on 23rd January 2018.

Amendment of the Marshall Aid Commemoration Act 1953

2. In section 1 of the Marshall Aid Commemoration Act 1953( 2 ) (funding of Marshall scholarships), for “forty” substitute “50”.

Revocation

3. The Marshall Scholarships Order 1972( 3 ) and the Marshall Scholarships Order 1990( 4 ) are revoked.
