The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 41(1), (2)(b) and (5) of the Road Traffic Act 1988( 1 ), makes the following Regulations.

Representative organisations have been consulted in accordance with section 195(2) of that Act.

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) (Amendment etc.) (No. 2) Regulations 2017 and come into force on 1st February 2018.

Amendment of Regulations

2. —(1) The Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986( 2 ) are amended as follows.

(2) In paragraph 7 of Part 1 to Schedule 7B (emissions from certain motor vehicles), for sub-paragraph (b) substitute—

(b) “the emissions publication” is the publication entitled “In Service Exhaust Emission Standards for Road Vehicles – Nineteenth edition” ( ISBN 978-1-84864-176-1) published by the Department for Transport. .

Revocation

3. The Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 2014( 3 ) are revoked.
